I use a 12v 1000ma adapter. Works great.

Yes, you can see a red glow at night when this is on. All 850nm LEDs show a red glow.
How many amps does this require?
1A 12DC power supply is enough
Has anyone tried these on a 12VAC landscape transformer? I want to get a few and connect them to the landscape transformer.
Get a bridge rectifier on a chip (or 4 diodes), should work.
